This allows all the stakeholders to be able to discuss it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The output of the plan<\/span><span class=\"\"> is a one-page summary picturing<\/span><span class=\"\"> key elements<\/span><span class=\"\"> to a temporary use project, strengths and possible weaknesses to keep an eye on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/257901691?title=0&amp;byline=0&amp;portrait=0\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">1. Vacant space owner(s)?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">2. OWNER AND USER INTENTIONS? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What are the owner&rsquo;s intentions and what temporary use are they offering? What are the user\u2019s intentions and what do they want temporary use for? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">3. JOINT GOALS AND VALUE PROPOSITION? <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What are the common goals? What kind of value do you both intend to create and who may benefit from it?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">4. NEEDS AND ACTIVITIES?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What are the needs of this specific environment and social context\u2019s? What kind of activities will be taking place in the space? Are theses activities going to engage or affect the context? What else, other than space, will be needed? What level of autonomy is requested\/given? <\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">5. NETWORK RELATIONSHIP?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Who else is at stake with this project? What&rsquo;s the network setting? What compensation will be offered to the actors that may be affected by the project? And what is expected from them? <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">6. TEMPORARY PERIOD ASSETS?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What core assets will make the project happen within the temporary period: social dynamics, specific talents, technical skills, financial resources, etc.?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">7. PLANS BEYOND?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What happens once that temporary period is over? What does the owner intend to do with the space? How will the user relocate, transfer, transform the value created during the period of use? How is this value location-dependent?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">8. PLAN B?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What if something goes wrong? If the project changes, evolves or even fails, what will happen to the temporary use agreement, to the space itself?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong><span class=\"\">9. WHAT IF THE TEMPORARY PERIOD CHANGES?\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">What\u2019s the plan if the space gets a new destination earlier than foreseen? And what if there is more vacant time available?<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"\"><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The Temporary Use Value Creation Plan<\/span><span class=\"\"> should be <\/span><span class=\"\">discussed at the start<\/span><span class=\"\"> of any temporary use of a space, in order to find an agreement between owners and users on common interests, goals, etc. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">It can also work as a<\/span> <span class=\"\">self-check tool<\/span><span class=\"\"> to explore a given temporary use project. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">But it\u2019s<\/span> <span class=\"\">best<\/span><span class=\"\"> to use it as a <\/span><span class=\"\">basis of dialogue<\/span><span class=\"\"> between a temporary user candidate and a vacant space owner. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">It&rsquo;s an informal contract<\/span><span class=\"\"> between temporary users and owners. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">It is an agreement, a plan settling the start of a temporary use project, which needs to be followed up, evaluated and, in some cases adjusted along the way.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Temporary Use Value Creation Plan is a tool, which helps cast a range of future possible developments in a temporary use project.
